Board Vacancies

Opportunities for Citizens to Serve

It takes a lot of people to run a city. Besides the Mayor, City Council and City Staff, there are a number of Boards and Commissions made up of citizens who volunteer to serve their City. Interested Citizens are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council to the Boards and Commissions.

  • The Reed City Planning Commission currently has two Board member vacancies. To learn more about our Planning Commission, please visit the Planning Commission page.

  • The Reed City Zoning Board of Appeals currently has one Board member vacancy. The Zoning Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial board with responsibility to hear and decide on matters concerning interpretation, administrative review, or a variance from the Zoning Ordinance. To learn more, please visit the Zoning Board of Appeals page.
Interested citizens who want to serve are invited to fill out an Interest Form at this link and file it with the City Clerk.
